Marie Favre
Marie Favre, a graduate of the prestigious École Hôtelière de Lausanne, has been selected to take the helm of Domaine Le Mouflon d’Or.
Passionate about all areas of hospitality Food & Beverage, Housekeeping, and Front Office her international career first allowed her to refine her skills and gain a deep understanding of the inner workings of these hotel departments.
The Marriott group opened the doors of its luxury properties to her, from St Barth to New Caledonia, then on to Bora Bora, before she later joined the prestigious Ritz-Carlton brand in Hawaii.
Her most recent professional experience introduced her to the Relais & Châteaux universe at Jiva Hill Resort, a magnificent property set within the natural park of the Haut-Jura.
A native of Sainte-Lucie-de-Porto-Vecchio, Marie has an in-depth understanding of the specificities of island life, both through her professional journey and because Corsica was the playground of her childhood and teenage years.
For her, this role represents a true return to her roots, coupled with the remarkable challenge of leading the first 5-star Relais & Châteaux property located in the Corsican mountains.
A few months before joining our Maison, Marie was awarded the highly coveted title of Meilleur Ouvrier de France in the Housekeeping category, a distinction she achieved with great distinction.
Sébastien CHAUCHAT
Sébastien Chauchat has been the right-hand man to the Chef of the Grand Hôtel de Cala Rossa since 2007.
Before joining Pascal Cayeux, he trained in several prestigious establishments, including Le Centenaire in Dordogne alongside Roland Mazère (two Michelin stars), Le Bateau Ivre in Courchevel with Jean-Pierre Jacob (two Michelin stars), and spent two years in San Diego, California, working with Jean-Michel Diot, widely regarded as the finest ambassador of Provençal cuisine in the United States.
Having fallen in love with Corsica more than 17 years ago, he has developed an intimate knowledge of its gastronomic treasures and is now preparing with great enthusiasm for the opening of Domaine Le Mouflon d’Or.

Vanina Etienne
Originally from Bonifacio, Vanina left the Île de Beauté at the age of 18 to move to Paris, where she completed a BTS in International Trade, followed by a Bachelor’s degree in Economics and Management. Upon returning to Corsica, she prepared the entrance exams to join a leading school of Digital Marketing and Business in Lille.
After working with a renowned Corsican ready-to-wear brand, Vanina set sail at the age of 28, travelling the world while working as Front Office Manager for a five-star cruise line. “This first experience in luxury hospitality truly captivated me.”
Upon returning to Corsica, she joined the U Capu Biancu hotel before being recruited by Marie Favre at Domaine Le Mouflon d’Or a property she had long aspired to join. A wonderful opportunity for this dynamic, curious, and creative young woman. “At 30, taking part in such an opening is an exciting challenge, and learning every day alongside Marie, a Meilleur Ouvrier de France, is truly inspiring.”
Vanina is also discovering, with great delight, the beautiful Alta Rocca region an area she had not previously known, yet one that abounds in activities and natural wonders.
